BGMC 2024 PROJECT
We are excited about our partnership with the AG Foster Care Network and how Kids will be able to help kids around them in their schools and neighborhoods. It is our goal to raise $20,000 or more this summer for this project!

Room Leaders & LITs

There is a MANDATORY all camp meeting on the Sunday before camp at 6:30pm.
We encourage you to arrive anytime between 4-6pm on that Sunday. If you arrive early, this will give you time to settle into your room without having to rush to the meeting.

As Room Leaders and LITs, we are so excited for you to spend this week with your room of kids, leading them through the services and fun times! In order for you and your room to have the best experience, please be sure to read through the job description and What to Expect documents.

Kids Camp can be overwhelming at times, but we are here to help and support you! There are a few different people that you can go to for questions.
When you have questions about handling a situation with your room, you can go to the Director of Boys or Director of Girls. They are there to support you and help you through the week when issues arise. Don’t be afraid to go to them!
When you have a student who can’t sleep or are homesick, contact the Camp Grandparents! They are there to make sure the homesick or lonely student has an enjoyable time.

When you arrive to Heartland, park in the main parking lot and come to the Oakwood lobby. Here you will walk through the check in process to receive your room number, tshirt, and other information for the week.
Once you are checked in, connect with your Room Leader/LIT to ask if there is anything they need help with to prepare for the week.
Don’t forget to come back to Oakwood at 5:30pm for the All Camp Meeting!

That’s awesome! We are so excited that you have kids coming to camp.
Due to our Support Staff arriving to camp on Sunday afternoon, we ask that you help your church arrange other transportation to Heartland. We want to create the best environment for the kids arriving on Monday, and can’t do that without your help!

We encourage all Room Leaders and LITs to decorate their rooms! It makes the room more welcoming for the campers when they arrive on Monday.
