Derek and Kristan Sanborn

Meet Derek and Kristan Sanborn

Derek and Kristan have been serving as Next Gen Pastors at Peoples Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, for 25 years. With a heart for children and families, most of their ministry has been dedicated to helping kids know Jesus, live with purpose, and understand that they don’t have to wait until they’re older to make an impact—because they are God’s leaders right now!

Together, Derek and Kristan have four amazing kids: Lily (17), Isaac (16), Paisley (14), and Max (12). The home is always full of fun, noise, and plenty of adventure. They are passionate about taking big, sometimes complex truths from God’s Word and making them simple and easy for children to understand.

Their message to every child is this: You are BRAVEYou are SMARTYou are LOVEDYou are a LEADER.

When they’re not ministering, Derek loves being outdoors and would fish every day if he could. While Kristan adores her chickens, loves to walk around the neighborhood, and always goes above and beyond for her family.
